I am LITERALLY the last person out of the bloggers who attended the amazing Madame Macaron Launch to be posting about this wonderful event, but here goes…
I first met Viveshni (aka Madame Macaron aka V) at the Cosmo magazines Girls day last year, she is an absolutely stunning women with one of the biggest hearts, this was completely evident when she hosted Cuppa4Cansa last year. Every single memory I have of that day was touched by her excellence, decor, catering, organization, literally everything.
V has launched Macaron classes in conjunction with The Dirty Fork Studio and stationery & packaging experts from Peg & Pencil and so far they have been a huge success. I have yet to attend a class, mainly because they’ve always fallen on a day when I have plans, but I am eagerly anticipating attending one of the classes in the future. Although I haven’t attended the class (as yet) I was invited to the Media Launch and let me tell you… we were 100% spoiled!
Viveshni planned the evening to perfection instead of us failing terribly at making our own macarons she graciously prepared shells for us to fill with an assortment of yummy butter-cream fillings. Oh, we did all get a chance to pipe a macaron or two but none of us mere mortals could compare to the professional prowess of V wielding the pink piping bag of yum!
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love baking but I don’t bake very often due to the sampling of the wares appearing on my hips too much 😉 but I have tried my hand at making macarons and they weren’t a complete failure but they also weren’t a complete success, and so I let the recipe and the batter get the better of me and never tried it again. If you’re the same make sure that you book for one of these classes!
