I met the lovely Vee from Madam Macaron at the #CosmosCoverGirl Durban event. Vee is amazing, she is a wonder baker (like seriously – have a look at her blog here), she crafts up a storm AND she is a mother… I mean, this lady does it all. She is also uber friendly and it was a pleasure to finally meet her.
Vee is the organizer behind the Durban Cuppa for Cansa Event and is pulling out all the stops, she has booked Hashtag as the venue and boy am I hoping that those delish chocolate and chili spring-rolls make an appearance because they were just divine! Hashtag, you’ll know or at least recognize as the venue from the #DBNBloggerMeet, and boy did they spoil us last time, I’m looking forward to seeing what changes this wonderful restaurant has made as they have recently done some upgrades.
There are also amazing sponsors on board: Vee herself is sponsoring some items, Le Creuset, Rain Africa, Gopals, Smith’s Bakeshop, Blink Mints and more! There are goodie bags but more importantly there is also an auction that is going to be happening on the day. In this present day I’m sure all our lives have been touched by cancer in one way or another, be it a family member, a friend, a work colleague, an acquaintance, we all know someone or of someone who has either battled cancer and won, is currently battling or sadly has lost their battle so this is definitely a cause that we can all get behind.
The ‘theme’ for the day is Pink, Black and Bling and you better believe us girls take these themes seriously. Nails have been planned, outfits and make up prep is also starting and it will be great to see everyone. I’m so looking forward to this event (it happens this Saturday) mostly because of being with the #Bloggerswhobless girls BUT also because it is Cancer Awareness Month and we should all spend some time supporting great Cancer causes this month.
