In South Africa there are over 25 million women. Each with their own unique and wonderful story. Just as the POND’S brand has evolved, so too have the women of South Africa. And this is a celebration of her soft, beautiful strength. Take up the chance to tell the world your story and you could see your face on a billboard around South Africa!
POND’S believes that all South African women are beautiful and deserve to be placed on a pedestal. For over 150 years, POND’S has been dedicated to celebrating the beauty of women around the world and their diversity.
The Faces of POND’S campaign began on the 1st of August, which also happens to be Women’s Month here in SA, this campaign allows all of us South African women to celebrate our unique beauty and to share our story, this is a great campaign which is celebrating us, the every-day women, the ladies who may have a few wrinkles, or laugh lines, the women with freckles, the person who uses a bunch of products to get glowing skin and the envied who just naturally have perfect skin.
Today, POND’S continues this celebration in our beautiful country – through the Faces of POND’S campaign – giving every South African woman an opportunity to share the story that makes her unique.
Everyone who submits their story will be a part of our Faces of POND’S campaign! They will feature in a lovely photo montage where each image will have the chance to be ‘Liked’ by the public. Five ladies, will be chosen in each of the specified regions to represent all the beautiful women of South Africa, and have a chance to appear on billboards, posters and so much more in the Faces of POND’S campaign.

Faces of POND’S Campaign Press Release – Maponya and Jabulani Mall
The 1st of August marked the commencement of Women’s Month and the launch of the Faces of POND’S campaign at Maponya Mall, Soweto.
For over 150 years, POND’S has celebrated the diversity and beauty of women around the world. POND’S is asking South African women to share what their face says about them, the story that makes them unique. From Friday to Sunday over 500 women from Maponya Mall shared their stories with POND’S in a celebration of courage and beauty.
“My face is the window to my inner beauty.” – Cherelle, Maponya Mall
POND’S invited Johannesburg media to enjoy an intimate breakfast at the Reef Hotel to mark the start of this incredible journey and offer insight into the celebration. After breakfast, the media visited the very first mall event – at Maponya Mall – where they were given the opportunity to share their own story, as well as to discover the unique and inspiring stories of others.
The Faces of POND’S roadshow progressed to Jabulani Mall to ask the women there what their face says about them. An amazing 653 stories were shared.
“My face tells the story of my life, from the past to the future. I love it when my skin looks vivacious and radiant.” – Ntokozo, Jabulani Mall
Women across South Africa have begun sharing what their face says about them.
What does your face say about you?
Our ambition is to create the largest tapestry ever, showcasing all the stories that have been shared with us.

“Don’t you think every face tells its own story? Like a book? More like a poem. If you study it long enough, you’ll soon find its meaning.” ― Gail Tsukiyama, Novelist
